Getting access to a website

If you don't already have access to a protected area of a website (like a Members-Only section), an administrator of the website will have to send you an invitation via email, which you can respond to - after which, you'll have access to the site upon logging in.

Click the "email" link, which will open up your email client. Fill in the details, like your name and email address and send the email. This will send an email to the administrator, so they can decide whether or not to grant you access.

If the administrator decides to grant you access, you will receive an invite via your email address. To accept this invitation, you will have to click "click here to get started" in the email.

When you click this link, you'll be taken to a page to create an account (if you don't have one already). Your email address should already be filled in. Fill in your password, and create your account.

After that, you'll be taken to the site you were given access to! From then on, every time you want to visit the protected area of the website, all you'll have to do is login with your account!

Adding Events to your calendar

You can add events to your Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCal, Google Calendar, Yahoo Calendar and other calendaring software.

First, in the drop-down under "Add to Calendar", select the option for the calendar you use. If you do not see your calendar software listed, select "Download .ics File". Then scroll down to find the instructions for the calendar you use.

Adding to Apple iCal

When you click "Apple iCal", your browser will download a .ics file. Depending on your browser, this will either automatically open iCal, or be saved to your computer (check the Downloads folder, or the Desktop). If iCal doesn't open, find the .ics file, like you see on the left, and double click on it to open it.

If you have multiple calendars in iCal, you may be prompted to select the calendar. This selection corresponds to the calendar where your imported event will show up. Not everyone has multiple calendars, so you might not see this alert at all.

Your event is saved! It shows up on the appropriate day and time on your calendar.

Adding to Google Calendar

When you click "Google", your browser will open a new window in Google Calendar. You can simply review the options in Google Calendar, as well as invite your friends right from the screen. Click the Save Changes button at the bottom to save this to your calendar.

When you click Save Changes, you will be directed to a confirmation page (which looks very similar) that has an alert at the top in yellow hilight.

Adding to Yahoo Calendar

When you click "Yahoo", your browser will open a new window in Yahoo! Calendar. Click the "Add to My Calendar" link at the bottom to save this to your calendar.

When you click "Add to My Calendar", you will be directed to your calendar, and your event will show up at the appropriate day and time.

Adding to Other Calendaring Software

When you click "Download .ics File", your browser will download a .ics file. You might be prompted to save this file somewhere. Depending on your browser and operating system, this will either automatically open in your calendar software, or be saved to your computer (check the Downloads folder, or the Desktop).

If your calendaring application doesn't open automatically, open the application. Most likely, it will have an "import" or "open" function in the file menu where you can open .ics files. Select this option, and you will be prompted to open a file on your computer.

Browse to your .ics file (probably the Downloads folder or the Desktop), and open that file. You should be prompted to add the event to your calendar. If not, contact support for your calendaring application, and ask them how to import the .ics file you downloaded.
